CCC Hastings Nebraska Student Receives NABA/J. D. Casey Scholarship

Clay Center, NE – April 18, 2008 – A Hastings, Nebraska collision repair student was awarded the NABA - J.D. Casey Scholarship for outstanding student of collision repair technology.

The NABA - J.D. Casey Scholarship was established to reward and encourage students to pursue careers in collision repair. The $500 scholarship for outstanding student undergoing training in automotive technology was awarded to Paul Mingus, a student from Central Community College in Hastings. Paul has been studying collision repair while also working part-time at Ben Pavelka Trucking, a Hastings-based trucking company. After finishing the autobody program, Paul would like to work in the Kearney or Broken Bow area.

"We are proud to see this talented student recognized and rewarded for his dedication and achievements," said Scott Meints, President of the Nebraska Autobody Association. “Paul is a great example of the many talented students who are choosing careers collision repair technology.”

"It is a privilege to team up with J.D. Casey to support and encourage students of collision repair and automotive technology," said Dan Rose, who chairs the Nebraska Autobody Association’s scholarship program.

The Nebraska Autobody Association is a statewide trade association that promotes excellence in the art and science of collision repair.
