Chicago IL, January 2, 2008 -- J Lyman Industries, Inc. (JLI) has expanded what the company believes to be the industry’s only merchant web site that is dedicated to on-line sales, technical support and public discussion of Tack Cloth.  The popular Crystal® and diverse Bond® product lines are featured in a one-page comparison of properties & prices, with links to technical details on tack cloth design, specifications, and direct purchase.

New to the site is an improved store with customer order history, along with the addition of a bulletin board for public exchange of questions and comments about tack cloths.  A private forum is reserved for industry professionals, such as painters on racing teams.  Expanded resources include a unique Glossary of Terms – the industry’s first to focus on tack cloth.  Standard features include FAQ's, Industry Links and Calendar.  Also described is a range of professional services, such as competitive analysis and user training in tack cloth.

JLI's web site is unmatched in its content for professional users of Tack Cloth in autobody finishing.

JLI's web site also offers selected specialty products that are related to Tack Cloth applications, such as sealant removal wipes, PVA sponges, plain cheesecloth, disposable coveralls, cleanroom gloves and more.

John Lyman, principal at JLI, has more thirty years of experience in the design, manufacture and support of Tack Cloth products.  Mr. Lyman's accomplishments include introduction of the first warp-knitted filament polyester fabric to be used in Tack Cloth, and introduction of the first sealed end cuts to this type of “lint free” Tack Cloth --both features having become industry standards.  Mr. Lyman also formulated what is believed to be the first commercial "antistatic” hot-melt tack cloth that could actually meet an independent standard (NFPA 99 spec).  As a recognized industry expert, Mr. Lyman participated with representatives of major auto manufacturers and suppliers in developing the Institute of Environmental Sciences and Technology (IEST) "Recommended Practices" for Contamination Control Considerations in Paint Spray Applications (IEST-RP-CC029.1 © 1999 IEST).

While it is targeted to Tack Cloth, JLI's web site is designed to be dynamic in meeting demands of the industrial contamination control market for high quality and specialty products, for new and detailed technical information, for expert and professional support services, and for innovative and customized product development.
