| MENTORS AT WORK INTRODUCES “LIGHT” A Trial Version of the Proven Mentors At Work Apprenticeship System For Immediate Release: P.O. Box 3368 St. Charles, IL 60174 www.mentorsatwork.com Contact:
St. Charles, Illinois – January 11, 2007 – Mentors at Work has just introduced a new version of its nationwide apprenticeship system. For any shop that has been thinking about joining Mentors At Work to help address its future entry-level employment needs, but would like to try it first before fully launching it, here’s your opportunity. Entitled “LIGHT”, this trial version allows shops to get acquainted with what building an effective in-house training system entails. For the past six years Mentors At Work has been providing its structured apprenticeship system to shops across the country. Mentors At Work actively partners with its clients to help manage mentor and apprentice pairs and their progress toward full competence as a technician or painter. The Mentors At Work apprenticeship system meets or exceeds all of the U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training standards. According to Mark Claypool, President of Mentors At Work, “Some shops would rather test our proven system prior to committing to a full year. With our LIGHT system, we take things a bit slower, offer the basic foundation of our system and give owners and managers a chance to dip a toe into the apprenticeship pool.” Over a six month period, for $260 per month, shops that chose LIGHT will have full access to Mentors At Work’s online system, use of the skill and competency tracking system, state-of-the-art mentor training and apprentice orientation conducted by Mark Claypool, monthly coaching sessions conducted by highly trained Mentors At Work staff and the ability to assign up to three mentors and an unlimited number of apprentices to the system. “We want to shine a light on what apprenticeships are all about. The upfront training that management, mentors and apprentices receive is valuable by itself,” said Claypool. “Having our staff follow-up with monthly coaching sessions provides expertise that only a hands-on partner like Mentors At Work can deliver.” To request more information, send an e-mail to info@mentorsatwork.com or call toll free, 888-225-6968. Claypool, considered by many to be one of the nation’s leading experts on occupational mentoring and apprenticeships, is the founder of Mentors At Work. Claypool serves as SkillsUSA’s TeamUSA Leader for the World Skills Competition, the next of which will be held in Japan in 2007. He is the former Executive Director of the National Auto Body Council (NABC), the I-CAR Education Foundation and was National Director of Development for SkillsUSA/VICA.##
