AUDI OF AMERICA AUTHORIZES PPG REFINISH SYSTEMS FOR COLLISION REPAIRS

STRONGSVILLE, Ohio – November 9, 2006 – Audi of America, Inc. has endorsed the use of PPG refinish systems for its new Audi Authorized Collision Repair Facility Program. The goal of the program is to have all Audi vehicles in the United States and Canada repaired with an Audi approved paint system. Audi requires its authorized collision centers to use an Audi/Volkswagen AG worldwide-approved paint supplier for all repairs.

Audi approved PPG paint systems include: 2K Nexa Autocolor®, Global®, Deltron®, DBC, DBU, and Concept®. As part of the program, Audi of America requires paint suppliers to provide a limited lifetime warranty on paint products used for Audi repairs. PPG offers the Lifetime PPG Paint Performance Guarantee for all Audi approved refinish systems. As outlined in the program, PPG guarantees in writing the durability of any paintwork performed to PPG certification standards for as long as the consumer owns the vehicle.

Under the terms of the Lifetime PPG Paint Performance Guarantee, all PPG Certified Collision Repair Centers must employ a properly trained refinish technician who has been certified by PPG in the application of the paint products covered by the guarantee. PPG Certified technicians are part of a continuing PPG training process, and must attend an update training session every two years in order to remain PPG Certified.
