Sean Hackley has been selected by Toyota Motor Sales, Inc. as the first rider for Toyota’s TMX Athlete Program, joining the Motoworld Racing PPG Yahama Team for the 2007 season .

STRONGSVILLE, OHIO September 1, 2006 The relationship between PPG Industries and Toyota Motor Sales, Inc., U.S.A. is expanding into the motocross world with the selection of Sean Hackley as the first rider for Toyota’s TMX Athlete Program. Hackley will join the Motoworld Racing PPG Yamaha Team for the 2007 season.

PPG has sponsored the motocross racing team for five years, serving as the top sponsor for the past two years. In 2006, Toyota selected the team for its new TMX Athlete Program, which supports amateur motocross riders through full sponsorship on an established motocross team, training and exposure to help these athletes move forward to the pros.

“It gives us great pleasure to partner with Toyota to help nurture and grow the motocross riders of tomorrow and keep the sport moving forward,” said Jim Downey, senior regional manager for PPG Industries. “We look forward to welcoming Sean to the Motoworld Racing PPG Yamaha Team.”

Hackley will be the fourth rider on the team, which will participate in 16 supercross (indoor) races, 12 motocross (outdoor) races, the U.S. Open and two to three overseas invitational races in 2007. He also will participate in a number of 2006 events to prepare for his official duties, which commence in January 2007.

Pittsburgh-based PPG is the world's leading manufacturer of transportation coatings, a global supplier of industrial and packaging coatings, and a leading producer of architectural coatings, primarily in North America. In addition, PPG manufactures flat and fabricated glass, continuous-strand fiber glass and chemicals. Sales were US$10.2 billion for 2005.
