PPG TO LAUNCH WATERBORNE BASECOAT SYSTEM IN CALIFORNIA

STRONGSVILLE, OHIO – August 28, 2006 – Europe’s number one selling waterborne basecoat system will soon be available in California. This fall, PPG will launch Aquabase® Plus, a stand-alone waterborne basecoat mixing system that delivers high performance and flexibility.
According to Doug Beuke, compliant segment manager for PPG North America, “Aquabase Plus is as easy to use as solventborne systems, requires no special additives, features a complete range of non-stir toners, and is very simple to blend. This new system offers superior color accuracy through the application of a final light coat, providing for consistent color and metallic control across a variety of different application techniques.”
