Walled Lake, MI – May 24, 2006 – Matrix System Automotive Finishes has been selected by MTV’s “Pimp My Ride” as the primary paint supplier for the show’s entire 2006-2007 season, which will feature the transformation of 16 vehicles. The first episode of the show’s new season is set to air on June 15, 2006 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

"Pimp My Ride," is a makeover show which first hit the airwaves in March 2004. The show features automobiles considered “junkers”, picked off the streets of Southern California and "pimped," or reconditioned, to look like sleek, luxury vehicles. The transformations typically consist of a complete paint and tire job with custom rims, in addition a total rebuild and arsenal of flashy accessories that have included state-of-the-art music systems, DVD players, video games, and other top notch gadgets. Past “pimped” rides have even included espresso machines and popcorn poppers. In the newest season of "Pimp My Ride", viewers will witness a 1988 Cadillac Limo hooked up with a 50" plasma screen movie theater, a 1995 Mitsubishi Galant with its own white fur chaise lounge, and a 1976 ice cream truck remodeled with the latest technology, according to MTV.
