STRONGSVILLE, Ohio – February 10, 2006 – PPG Automotive Refinish recently announced over 12,000 individuals attended a PPG training course in 2005. PPG offers a broad scope of training courses concentrated on the education and development of skills in every aspect of the collision repair industry.
Classes offered in 2005 included technical training classes for users of both PPG and Nexa Autocolor systems, business development classes for distributors, automotive and fleet collision repair staff. In addition, PPG provided training to Commercial Performance Coatings customers, members of the CertifiedFirst® Network, participants in the MVP program, users of Matthews Paint sign coatings, vocational instructors, and insurance industry personnel.
Classes are held at 16 PPG Business Development Centers, located throughout North America, as well as in affiliate locations in over 100 key markets. “We believe training is very important to the long-term success of our customers and invest significant time and money in these endeavors,” said Bill Troyer, manager, Refinish Training, North America for PPG.
