STRONGSVILLE, Ohio – January 9, 2006 – PPG Automotive Refinish introduces its new Customer Support Center, CSC. The new center has been designed to enhance PPG’s customer relations practices and make doing business with PPG easy for their customers. The CSC will maintain their unparallel customer service and continue to direct efforts towards streamlining processes to help improve efficiencies for PPG customers.
The center’s first action has been to expand the hours of operation for all color related customer inquiries. The new operating hours are 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Secondly, the Support center’s staff has been expanded to better assist customers who are utilizing PPG online self-help eTools, such as the online color formulation systems. These expansions will allow the CSC team to provide timelier responses to customer requests.
The PPG Customer Support Center’s color library provides a free service to PPG users and distributors who need information on paint formulas, color names, paint codes, interior colors and more. Its color database houses information on more than 600,000 colors dating as far back as 1928. According to Dave Zelch, director of the new Customer Support Center, “The department takes thousands of calls a month. PPG has always placed our customers first, with the expansion of our staff and hours of operations, we expect to offer greater efficiency and faster response time to customers.”
