STRONGSVILLE, Ohio – July 19, 2005 – PPG Automotive Refinish is offering Color 21, a color training course that provides instruction on color theory, blending and tinting procedures and more. The course is designed for refinish technicians and jobber representatives.

The course explains what color theory is, how it applies to blending and tinting, and how color plotting can be helpful in tinting refinish paints. Students will learn what color perception is and how it pertains to their work. The course also covers the basic procedures for maintaining a refinish paint mixing bank and the basic operation and usage of a digital paint mixing scale.

In addition, the course covers specific blending products available in the Deltron and Global Refinish System (GRS) product lines and outlines the “best practices” available for using Deltron or GRS mixing bases. Instruction will also be given on how Deltron or GRS tinting charts can be used when tinting these refinish systems.

All courses are held at state-of-the-art PPG Business Development Centers and include extensive “hands-on” training. Students will receive a Color Adjustment Training Manual, tinting charts and a Certificate of Accomplishment.
