The staff at Valley Freightliner celebrates the grand opening of the new 18,000 square foot body shop in Pacific, Washington.

PACIFIC, Washington - February 2, 2005 – Valley Freightliner (VFI) of Pacific, Washington, a Freightliner dealership, held a grand opening for their new body shop Friday, January 8 at the new facility. Over 500 people attended the event, which included a barbeque dinner.

The company originally opened a small facility in 1986 in Fife, Washington, and has grown to two dealership locations, one in Pacific and one in Mt. Vernon, employing over 150 people. The new bodyshop facility is 18,000 square feet and includes a 62 ft. downdraft spraybooth and a 36 ft. frame rack.

Both Valley Freightliner facilities use the Delfleet Ò Evolution polyurethane paint system from PPG for their paint operation. PPG is an authorized supplier to Freightliner LLC worldwide, offering products approved for warranty and aftermarket collision repair. Valley Freightliner is both a PPG Certified Commercial Vehicle Paint Finishing Center, and is Freightliner Certified.

“Delfleet has proven to be very cost effective,” said Tim Tucker, body shop foreman for Valley Freightliner. “The product works very well for color match, durability and quality.”

Casey Smith, body shop manager for Valley agrees. “Not only is Delfleet cost effective, the warranty is very good and the overall look of the paint and the way it flows is exceptional.”
